TEA to Request NCLB Waivers

After about a year of refusing the U.S. Department of Education’s offers to request waivers from various provisions of the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB), the Texas Education Agency (TEA) announced plans to submit waiver requests — but not under the guidelines proposed by the Obama Administration.
