Poll Result: Texas Spends Too Little on Public Schools
The Texas Tribune recently worked with the University of Texas on a poll of likely voters. This week the Trib lifted a few questions and asked them of their “insiders.”
Two questions were about Texas public schools. When asked whether public schools are better or worse than they were a year ago, the insiders split: 42% said they were about the same and 39% said they were somewhat worse. The article suggested that money’s part of that answer, because when asked if Texas spends the right amount on public schools, 62% of the insiders said Texas spends too little.
