U.S. Does Not Lag Behind other Nations in Class Time

The claim was made recently that American students spend 25 to 30 percent less time in school than their counterparts in India and China.  Recently, the Center for Public Education offered proof that the statement is wrong and that American students spend a comparable amount of time in instruction.
